Boston Celtics sophomore Max Shulga did not have his option picked up on Monday. However, he may get another shot with the team during Summer League.

The Celtics continued reshaping their future Friday by locking up 2025-26 starting center Neemias Queta on a long-term extension. Per ESPN, Queta agreed to a fully guaranteed four-year, $56 million extension that begins in the 2027-28 season,

Reigning Sixth Man of the Year Payton Pritchard had no trouble moving into the starting lineup on a regular basis. It was the opposite for veteran center Nikola Vučević, who remained effective despite coming off the bench for the first time in his NBA career.

"Williams (...), the first British-born player in Celtics history, originally signed a two-way contract with Boston Aug. 15, 2025, and signed a standard NBA contract with the team Feb. 5," relates the press release.

A 6-foot-4 guard slated to go near the end of the first round, Thomas put up 18.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, 2.9 assists, and 1.8 steals per game last season.

Former Celtics guard Max Shulga has landed on one of the Warriors’ Summer League teams. Golden State announced its two squads, Gold and Blue, for the California Classic portion of Summer League, which takes place ahead of the main event in Las Vegas later this month.

The Florida native has shown some flashes at Florida state, putting up 12.7 points, 5.7 rebounds, 1.1 assists, 1.2 steals, and 1.0 blocks per game.

While opening night is still months away, the Celtics are focused on bouncing back at full strength in 2026-27 with a new-look rotation.
